The Faculty of Oriental Studies holds three Undergraduate Oxford Open Days and a Faculty Undergraduate Open Day each year. Open Days provide an excellent opportunity to visit the Faculty and meet tutors and students. The Faculty holds its main open day in May each year, and information sessions on the main University Open Days in July, alongside a further Open Day in September. Please see the table to the right for this year’s dates.
Please note that you must register and book a place to attend an Undergraduate Open Day. To do this please see the table to the right.

Faculty Open Day update - Coronavirus (Covid-19)
As a result of developments with coronavirus (Covid-19), and in line with Government guidance on social distancing, outreach events are currently not taking place as planned. This includes our Faculty Open Day on the 11th June which will now run as a virtual open day. The day will comprise an afternoon of sessions including an introduction to the Faculty from our Faculty Chair, language taster classes, a session on admissions with our Director of Undergraduate Admissions and an opportunity to talk to current students. To attend, please sign up using this form, and we will send you invites for the sessions. For those interested in European and Middle Eastern Languages, don't miss the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages’ Open Day (click for more information and to register), which is on the 1st May.
At the moment, we are hoping that the remaining Open Days will take place in Oxford, but realise that this may not be possible if social distancing remains in place. We remain strongly committed to providing opportunities for you to discover what it is like to study at Oxford and we would like to encourage you to sign up for our newsletter. In the meantime, please do everything you can to stay well and we hope to welcome you and your family on a visit to Oxford before too long. If you are holding an offer to begin studying here in the autumn, please see our guidance for offer holders.
